When we get information beforehand we can prepare for the storm and even though the Bible tells us that Jesus is coming, many of us will not be prepared because his coming doesn't come with a time and a date.

Today's Devotion, Lord, thank you for a heart of compassion. Having a heart of compassion in an evil world isn't easy, especially when you grew up in a family that showing love to each other was lacking. How our parents treated us set the standards of how we may end up treating our family.

Fasting and praying can give you results, but crying and worrying can lead you deeper into depression.

A spiritual opportunist is someone who exploits spiritual ideas, religious beliefs, or positions of faith for selfish motives, personal gain, or to gain power over others. Spiritual opportunists will find time for those who can help them, but they are always busy for those who are in need of their help.

Today's Devotion. Lord, open our eyes to our spiritual gifts. God has blessed us with different spiritual gifts.

Today's Devotion, God can heal our pain. Pain is better than death because with pain you can have a testimony when you are healed, but with untimely death you are awaiting judgment. Pain is a gift because it gives you time to seek repentance and get your life right with God.

Today's Devotion, Lord, protect the kind-hearted. Even though God wants us to be kind to each other, he doesn't want us to take advantage of someone's kindness. If we could erase all the mistakes of the past, there are some people in our lives that we would never allow to be on our friend list.
