Lord, pull us away from worrying

Today's Devotion, Lord, pull us away from worrying. When the problems of life start to attack you from all angles, the devil wants you to become depressed and worry, but God wants you to have faith and worship. Fasting and praying can give you results, but crying and worrying can lead you deeper into depression.

The more depressed you get, the more spiritually vulnerable you will become. Spiritual vulnerability can cause you to become weak to temptation, and this is when the devil will attack you, the same way that a lion will attack its prey. The devil will let you see doom and gloom, but God will let you see light at the end of the tunnel.

In 2 Corinthians 12 verse 9-10 it is written, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. So that Christ's power may rest on me. This is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties.

For when I am weak, then I am strong. My brothers and sisters in Christ, hard times reveal true friends. God has a way of sending you destiny helpers when you least expect it, and this is why we must have faith.

The devil will send you negative-minded people who will carry words of discouragement, discontent, and doubt. Worship is a weapon that the devil doesn't want you to carry. In Matthew 11 verse 28 it is written, Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.

God doesn't want us to throw in the towel. He wants us to give him our burdens. Heavenly Father, help those who are vulnerable and spiritually weak, because they are overwhelmed.

In Deuteronomy 31 verse 8 it is written, The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid.

Do not be discouraged. Lord, give us the strength to overcome our challenges and help us not to be anxious about anything. But in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, give our requests to you.

Thank you, Lord, for replenishing our strength when we need it most.

All these we ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
