Rejection can lead to elevation

Today's Devotion, Rejection can lead to elevation. Have you ever felt as if you are a liability to your family, but you are seen as an asset to others? David was rejected by his family, yet he was chosen by God. Where there is no fish, the bait has no use, but where there is fish, the hungry will be fed.

In life, not everyone will see your worth, and all you need is to get one opportunity to get their attention. Rejection can lead to depression, especially when you feel as if you are overlooked. It may be because you may seem to be too young or too old.

When people reject you, God has a way to redirect you to places and around people who will value and appreciate you. Being underrated or rejected by man doesn't mean that you will not be used or accepted by God. Where you live and how you dress doesn't stop God from choosing you.

In Psalm 118 verse 22 it is written, The stone that the builder refused will be the head corner stone. The black sheep of the family is often rejected. The Bible teaches us that all people have sinned and are in need of cleansing.

I have a friend who I have known for years, and she was the black sheep in her family. She didn't get the privilege of the other members of the family. She was hidden by her family.

She wasn't shown the respect that she deserved. When God changes the script, the rejected will become the accepted. God took her from the closet and put her on a platform for everyone to see.

And the resentment was transformed to jealousy. My brothers and sisters in Christ, always be humble and have a forgiving heart because the God who placed you on the pedestal is the same God who will remove you from it. In 1 Peter 5 verse 5 it is written, In the same way, you who are younger submit yourselves to your elders.

All of you clothe yourselves with humility toward one another because God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble. Heavenly Father, we pray for those who are feeling rejected and no matter how they try, they will never be appreciated. Lord, whether the sheep is black or white, you are not a God of favoritism.

In Psalm 27 verse 10 it is written, Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me. Lord, whenever you lift us up, no demon in hell can pull us down. Give us the patience and the strength so that we do not let our emotions get the better of us.

Thank you, Lord, for helping us when we felt rejected.

All these we ask in Jesus name. Amen.
