Today's Devotion, Are We Our Brother's Keeper? For us to show that we are our brother's keeper, we must treat people how we want to be treated. If you don't want people to say bad things about you, do not say bad things about others. Are we our brother's keeper when we see someone sabotaging someone who we do not like, just because we can laugh at their setback? Do not laugh when someone falls, because life has a way of turning the table when you least expect it.

In Proverbs 24 verse 17 to 18 it is written, Do not rejoice when your enemy falls. Don't gloat over his collapse. God might see and become very provoked, and then take pity on his plight.

We cannot adjust God's word to accommodate our ego, and we cannot neglect the Bible verses that we are not comfortable living by. In Philippians 2 verse 3 to 4 it is written, Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than ourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

Our character may not be tested inside the church. It may be tested through an assignment that God will give you outside of the church, and this will test our obedience or disobedience to do God's work. Heavenly Father, we live in a world where people will use their greed to satisfy their needs.

Lord, we pray for the families that are experiencing turmoil among themselves because of generational curse. God is not a God of division. He promotes peace and unity.

In 1 Corinthians 14 verse 33 it is written, For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace, as in all the congregations of the Lord's people. Help us to look out for each other and stop looking at what each other has. In Ecclesiastes 4 verse 9 to 10 it is written, Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor.

If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Lord, open the eyes of those who are spiritually blind, because when we die the things that we fight for will be left on earth and there is no repentance in the grave.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
