Prayer for God's Protection

Today's Devotion, Prayer for God's Protection. Lord, we thank you for your guidance and protection from our enemies. Thank you for traveling mercies in our going out and in our coming in. The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.

God will deal with the persons who have been evil to you. In 2 Thessalonians 3 verse 3 it is written, But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you, and protect you from the evil one. Lord, we come before you with a heart full of faith, trusting in your power to move mountains, destroy strongholds, and to tear down every plot and plan of the enemy.

Who is man to stand against God's wrath and anger? Lord Jesus, we call your name in this time of trouble, because your name is higher than any other name. In James 2 verse 19 it is written, Thou believest that there is one God, thou doest well. The devil also believes and trembles.

Lord, no weapon that is formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us shall be condemned. God, you are our refuge and strength in times of trouble, so we will not fear when earthquakes come and mountains crumble into the sea. In Deuteronomy 31 verse 8 it is written, The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you.

He will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged. Heavenly Father, in your might make them wander about and bring them down.

For the sins of their mouths, for the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride. For the curses and lies they have uttered, thank you Lord for being our rock to shield us from the plans of the wicked. With you in the vessel we can smile at the storm.

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Lord, give them a taste of their own medicine, so that they can know the power of the God that we serve.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
