Today's Devotion, You cannot want God's grace and refuse to let go of the devil's deeds. Lord, I thank you for disappointing the plans of the enemy, especially during these times when the devil is determined to create mayhem in our lives. In Psalm 121 it is written, I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved. He that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper. The Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil. He shall preserve thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth and evil forevermore. One of the most challenging situations that we can encounter in life is holding on to the things of the world and fighting against the plans of the devil. Real commitment comes with serious sacrifices, because you cannot be sleeping with the devil and expect God to supply your needs.

You cannot enjoy the best of both worlds and expect God to fight your battles. For the Lord is righteous. He loves righteous deeds.

The upright shall behold his face, honor God above all others, and allow him to provide you with the strength you need to wage the battle. Heavenly Father, we cannot commit our minds to the flesh and expect you to defend us from the wicked. Give us the strength and wisdom to do your will and erase all the things from our minds that the devil will use to get our attention.

The battle is not for us to fight, and because of this, you, Heavenly Father, deserve all the glory.

All these we ask in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
