Your breakthrough comes with a cost

Today's Devotion, Your breakthrough comes with a cost. We serve a fair God, and He isn't impartial to anyone. He honors His word above His name.

In Matthew 22 verse 21 it is written, Render therefore unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's. Do not assume that God is going to give you your breakthrough if you refrain from giving the Caesars who govern us. He is the God of Caesar, and He is your God too.

Once your breakthrough is near, be prepared to face challenges from all angles. God isn't a God who endorses corruption. He is a God of conviction.

Tainted hands will never receive the blessings that you want from God. You have to walk away from your past before He can bless you with the presents that He has put aside for you. When your breakthrough gets close, things may seem to be falling apart, and you will see those who will stand by you and those who will abandon you.

This is God's way of opening your eyes when He starts to separate the sheep from the goats. In Matthew 25 verse 32 to 33 it is written, All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate the people one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on the left, my brothers and sisters in Christ.

The sheep represents the righteous who inherit the kingdom because they fed the hungry, welcomed strangers, and cared for the sick. The goat represents those who did not show compassion and are sent into eternal punishment. Heavenly Father, we thank You for our trials because if it wasn't for our trials we would never have seen the genuine people who You have put into our lives.

God, in the midst of health, personal, job-related, and financial challenges, You have separated us in order to elevate us. Lord, help us to see beyond our present struggles and to trust in Your power to heal us and redirect us. As we go through these challenges, keep our spirit uplifted and our hope anchored in Your gracious and mighty hand.

All these we ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
