Today's Devotion, There is purpose in your pain. God doesn't allow you to go through pain because He doesn't love you. He allows it to happen for a purpose.
Pain can make you humble, and pleasure can pull you away from God and let you focus on the things of the world. Job was blameless, and his endurance proved to the devil that true faith exists even when all comforts are removed. The eagle teaches their young to fly by making the nest uncomfortable.
The parents remove the soft nesting materials, leaving only sharp twigs. Many people find God through their trials, their setbacks, and when things seem to be falling apart in their lives. God will use your deepest pain for His greatest purpose.
Every pain teaches us a lesson, and every lesson changes the lives of a purpose. God has a way of separating you from people through setbacks. If your pain puts you at rock bottom, God has a reason why He has put you there.
Sometimes it's your pain that leads you to your greatest purpose. Many times God isn't changing your circumstances, it's because God's plan is to change you. He may be using your situation to remove you from ungodly friends in order for you to be around godly people who will bring you closer to Him.
Enduring your pain can open the door to your blessing. In 2 Corinthians 1 verse 3-4 it is written, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. Heavenly Father, you allowed your son to endure pain and die for the forgiveness of our sin.
Lord, let us not take this for granted and go deeper living into a sinful life. Lord, we pray for those who are experiencing physical pain and are struggling to deal with it. Give them the comfort that they are in need of.
I consider that our present suffering are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. Thank you Lord for your healing touch that will give them powerful testimonies.
All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
