Lord, protect the kind-hearted

Today's Devotion, Lord, protect the kind-hearted. Even though God wants us to be kind to each other, he doesn't want us to take advantage of someone's kindness. If we could erase all the mistakes of the past, there are some people in our lives that we would never allow to be on our friend list.

Even though the eraser can rub out the mistakes made by the pencil, we will not be able to erase our mistakes, but we can learn from it. Make sure you understand the difference between being kind and being taken advantage of. If someone who loves to take knows that your kindness is your weakness, they will take you for granted as long as you allow them to.

Because greed can be the unwillingness to give or the willingness to take. This is why when God removes some people from your life, you must never try to rebuild what he has destroyed, because he sees what you haven't seen and he knows what you don't know. No matter how kind you are, there are some people that you can never change, only God can change them.

He knows what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. In situations like these, you will learn the importance of walking away from people and leaving them to God. Being nice to the wrong people will never change the mind of those who are ungrateful.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, God teaches us to love our neighbors as ourselves and to treat others the way that we want to be treated. But unfortunately, there are those whose aim is to manipulate others for personal gain. Woe be unto the wealthy people who are stingy, who take advantage of the less fortunate who are kind.

In James 5 verse 1 to 6 it is written, Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail. Because of the misery that is coming on you, your wealth has rotted and moths have eaten your clothes. Your gold and silver are corroded.

Their corrosion will testify against you and eat your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the last days. Look, the wages you failed to pay the workers who mowed your fields are crying out against you.

The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord Almighty. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have condemned and murdered the innocent one who was not opposing you.

Heavenly Father, protect those who are kind from those who are selfish and greedy. Lord, we pray for you to put a shield around us and protect us from greedy people and those who are deceitful. Lord, for whatever they have taken from us unfairly and used us for their personal gain, we call upon you and we thank you for ensuring that what they have taken is returned to us.

All these we ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
