Today's Devotion, Beware of Spiritual Blindness. It's not the will of God if it goes against the word of God. Don't force yourself to fit where you do not belong. As believers we must be disciplined enough to know what to say, where to say it, and how to say it.
We live in a world that is full of distractions. Never let your distractions pull you so far away from God that you don't have time to worship God because of the things that you have achieved and the places that you have traveled to. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away.
People who tell the truth about God's word will always be hated but those who sugarcoat his words will always be appreciated. Some people can only keep friends as long as an ice cream cone can last in the boiling sun or because they don't sugarcoat their words. Sugarcoating the gospel is like putting up a sign saying, sin today and you will be forgiven tomorrow.
My brothers and sisters in Christ, presumptuous sins come with a consequence and there is no sin that goes unpunished. God is not a politician looking for your vote. He can never be removed from his throne.
He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords and the devil is fully aware that he cannot remove him. In Revelation 17 verse 14 it is written, They will wage war against the Lamb but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings and with him will be his called chosen and faithful followers. Those who are faithful followers of the devil are those who are living in sin and those who are blinded by sin.
In John 9 verse 39 to 41 it is written, Jesus said for judgment I have come into this world so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind. Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked what? Are we blind too? Jesus said if you were blind you would not be guilty of sin but now that you claim you can see your guilt remains. Heavenly Father we come to you to open the eyes of those who are blind to sin not because society accepts it that doesn't mean that we should indulge in it.
Lord prevent us from indulging in presumptuous sin because these are sins that we do willingly. Help us not to do the things that we know are not accepted by you and give us the strength to overcome them.
All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
