God can heal our pain

Today's Devotion, God can heal our pain. Pain is better than death because with pain you can have a testimony when you are healed, but with untimely death you are awaiting judgment. Pain is a gift because it gives you time to seek repentance and get your life right with God.

Once you have repented and you have committed your life to God, you will get the gift of eternal life. There are two types of pain, emotional pain and physical pain. One affects our body and the other affects our mind.

If you think it's painful holding on to hot iron, try holding on to cold love. The hot iron will leave a physical scar, but cold love will leave an emotional scar. Some people think that to be strong is to never feel pain.

In reality, the strongest people are the ones who feel it, understand it and accept it. Every pain gives a lesson and every lesson changes a person. God will let you experience emotional pain just to teach you the importance of forgiveness.

He chose you not to hurt you, but to use you to minister to others who are going through a similar situation. Smooth seas don't make skillful sailors and difficult roads can lead to a beautiful destination. The best person to give you advice about overcoming pain is the person who has gone through it and has gained wisdom and can advise you how to get over it.

Jesus experienced pain for the forgiveness of our sins, but the devil will influence us to keep living in sin. In 1 Peter 2 verse 24 it is written, He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

And in James 5 verse 14 to 15 it is written, Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well. The Lord will raise them up.

If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. Heavenly Father, we pray for those who are going through different types of pain, especially those who are dealing with unbearable pain. Lord, in Jeremiah 30 verse 17 it is written, But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds, declares the Lord, because you are called an outcast, Zion, for whom no one cares.

Lord, we know that you care about us and we call upon you to touch the sick and those who are thinking of suicidal thoughts to deal with their emotional pain. In Psalm 41 verse 3 it is written, The Lord sustains him on his sickbed. In his illness, you restore him to full health.

Lord, we thank you for healing us and helping us to get over our pain.

All these we ask in Jesus name. Amen.
