Today's Devotion

Today's Devotion. God allows things to happen for a reason. I recently had a conversation with someone about my church hurt experience and what caused me to walk away from the church that I was attending.

Today's Devotion, Lord, Increase Our Faith. Supernatural faith is a divine gift. It is based on believing God's word, even when it contradicts natural reality. First to know God we must be willing to trust Him when our situation may seem difficult, especially when the odds are against us.

Today's Devotion, Lord, protect us from the enemy. If God did not forgive sinners, heaven would be empty. We may pray to God to change our situation so that we can change our attitude.

Today's Devotion, God is our problem solver. One thing that I have learnt about problems, is no matter how much we try to avoid it, problems have a way of finding us when we least expect it.

Today's Devotion, Control Your Anger. Anger can destroy relationships, friendships, and families. When anger comes with pride, it can open the door to unforgiveness and malice. The devil endorses anger because it can lead to destroying and killing.

Today's Devotion, God teaches us in different ways. God doesn't just allow people to come into your life by chance. He handpicked the ones who will sharpen your faith, remind you of your purpose, and walk with you in every season.

Today's Devotion, Avoid careless speech. Discretion of speech is better than eloquence with words. Discretion is used when you don't want to offend people, but eloquence is used when you want to impress people. Careless speech has serious consequences.

Today's Devotion, Lord, help us to live a life of humility. He who knows the strength that comes from humility will never have to deal with the embarrassment that comes from pride. Pride goes before a fall but humility leads to honor.

Today's Devotion, God accepts a no-nonsense attitude from his worshippers. A no-nonsense person will never be liked by people who love to have their own way. A no-nonsense person is focused on results, not excuses.

Today's Devotion, Lord, take control over our finances. Financial stress can be overwhelming, and there are times when your bills may be more than your salary, especially when unforeseen challenges come when you least expect it.

Today's Devotion, Lord, remove greed from our heart. Kindness can open the door to your blessing, but selfishness can close it. Some people will only be kind to others when they are sure that it will come back to them.

Today's Devotion, Beware of the spirit of control. When someone is overly nice, it can create a sense of obligation where there should be none. Kindness can open the door to your weakness.

Today's Devotion, Lord, help us to implement discipline. I recently saw on one of my friend's status a picture of a cute puppy. This puppy was so adorable that I asked her if she could send me a picture of it.

Today's Devotion, Lord, protect those who are being abused. Whether it is emotional abuse or it is physical abuse, abuse is abuse. An abusive person will go to extreme lengths to hide their true colors.

Today's Devotion, Lord, help us to implement family rules. Where discipline and rules are not implemented, disobedience will take control. Parents, if you give a child too much rope, it may take you forever and a day for you to pull them in.

Today's Devotion, Lord, help us to keep our word. One of my favorite gospel songs is I Have Decided to Follow Jesus. It is a song that shows our commitment not only to follow him, but to practice what we preach so that we can live a life that can influence others to emulate.

Today's devotion, Beware of the spirit of offense. Be careful of the spirit of offense. It hears things that were never said.

Today's Devotion, When the Tables Turn. When God turns the table, the enemy is upset because they would prefer to turn over the table than to see the table turn. There are two things that God does with tables. He turns them, and He prepares them.

Today's Devotion, Beware of distractions. Knowing God's word is good, but living by God's word is better, because knowing the word and not living by the word will never put us on the road to righteousness. In Matthew 7 verse 13 to 14 it is written, Enter through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.

Today's Devotion, Beware of busybodies. A busybody is a nosy interfering person who meddles in other people's private affairs, showing excessive interest in things that don't concern them, all for offering unwanted advice or prying into personal matters.
