Today's Devotion, Lord, we need your intervention in broken relationships. A relationship that was never meant to be, will never give you peace of mind, but it will always give you stressful days and sleepless nights. Quarreling and complaining will be frequent, but showing love and affection will be rare.

God has a way of using someone who has gone through the pain to intercede with someone who is going through the pain. Decisions made without God's approval can teach us lessons that can make us stronger, but never allow your emotions to influence you to become bitter and hate anyone. Never spend your time criticizing the person, and you can't find time to thank God for protecting you during your relationship.

We live in a world where partners are killing partners, all because the love has ended and the hatred has started. Wherever there is hatred, the devil is active. In 1 Peter 5 verse 8 it is written, Be alert and of sober mind.

Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. My brothers and sisters in Christ, do not waste your time on hate and resentment. Turn to God so that he can give you inner peace and fill your heart with love and contentment.

Wisdom comes when we learn from our mistakes. It doesn't come when we keep repeating our mistakes. When hurt and bitterness comes in a relationship, love and forgiveness comes out of a relationship.

Heavenly Father, we seek your guidance for those who are going through broken relationships. Help them not to let their anger take control of their emotions. In Psalm 37 verse 8 it is written, Refrain from anger and turn from wrath.

Do not fret, it leads only to evil. Lord, we pray for the children who are affected and we call upon you to protect them. Lord, take full control of the words that may be said during the heated argument that can make a bad situation worse.

In James 1 verse 19 to 20 it is written, My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this. Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry. Because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.

Lord, whatever the end result may be, we call upon you to fix it the way that you see best.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
