Today's Devotion, Seek Guidance from God. Not everything that seems to be a blessing is coming from God. Not because the grass may seem greener on the other side, that doesn't mean it is hunky-dory. Without discernment, it is difficult to identify deception and betrayal.
Not because everyone is doing it, that doesn't mean that it is right. Your discernment will offend every person who came with a hidden agenda. Just because it's more money, it doesn't mean that it is from God.
Just because you are connected with the right people, that doesn't mean that it is from God. Because the people who may seem right to you may not be right with God. God doesn't just bring people into your life by chance.
Jesus knew that Judas was going to betray him, and he knew that Peter was going to deny him three times. God teaches us lessons in many ways. The road of righteousness comes with challenges.
God will send someone in your life that may end up hurting you to teach you the importance of forgiveness. God will separate you before he elevates you. God doesn't multiply what you mismanage.
He doesn't multiply disorder. Before he increases anything in your life, he will bring it into order. In 1 Corinthians 14 verse 33 it is written, For God is not a God of disorder, but of peace, as in all the congregations of the Lord's people.
Heavenly Father, we pray for those who are in need of help in their business. Lord, help them to find the right people who are trustworthy. In areas where they are weak, we call upon you to send someone who will be strong in these areas.
In 1 Corinthians 14 verse 40 it is written, Let all things be done decently and in order. Help those who are in need of guidance, especially in times when they are going through distress. Please grant them the peace that surpasses all understanding, so that they will turn to you in everything that they do.
All these we ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
