Use your God-given gifts

Today's Devotion. Use your God-given gifts. Don't let the gifts that God has placed inside of you become idle.
Every talent, every strength, and every skill was given with purpose. Never use your God-given gift to do the devil's work. Using your gift to inspire and uplift others may be influencing them to use theirs to do the same.
Laziness can deprive you of your blessing. Laziness is a sin because it, like all other sins, separates us from God. When you neglect your gifts, you're holding back something that could bless someone else.
If you can teach, teach. If you can encourage, use your words to uplift those who are on the verge of throwing in the towel. Don't compare your gifts to someone else's because all gifts have their purpose.
In Proverbs 18 verse 16 it is written, A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men. Always remember that God will use your gift to put you around the right people. But the devil will use it to put you around the wrong people.
In 1 Corinthians 12 verse 46 it is written, Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are varieties of service, but the same Lord. And there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.
Heavenly Father, we pray for those who are around the wrong company, and they are being influenced to do the wrong things with their gifts. We pray for those who are spiritually blind to the gifts that they have. Lord, help them to understand and nurture their gifts with wisdom and humility.
Guide them to use it in alignment with your will. Help them to trust in the things that are right and to avoid the things that are wrong. Thank you, Lord, for the blessing that you have bestowed upon us by using our gifts to serve you.
All these we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
