Desperate situations need intense prayer

Today's Devotion. Desperate situations need intense prayer. The devil is not a fool. He will not come to you when you have options. He will come to you when you have problems. Our options come with choices, but our problems come with desperation.

Don't let desperate situations make you do desperate things. It will let you take what is not yours, do things that you would never do, and go to places where you would never go. Desperation will let you take advice from ungodly people and expect God to understand the reason why you had to seek help from the devil.

The lioness will kill to protect her cubs, and she will also kill to feed them. If you close your eyes to facts, you will learn through accidents. Your desperation gives the devil satisfaction because he knows how vulnerable you are when your faith is weak and your temptation is strong.

Patience can cook a stone, but impatience will let you lose your teeth because you cannot wait for the stone to be cooked. In Psalms 107 verse 6 to 9 it is written, Then in your desperate condition you called out to God. He got you out in the nick of time.

He put your feet on a wonderful road that took you straight to a good place to live. So thank God for his marvelous love, for his miracle mercy to the children he loves. He poured out great draughts of water down parched throats.

The starved and hungry got plenty to eat. My brothers and sisters in Christ, whenever you find yourself in desperate situations, find your knees. Because a day without prayer is a day without power.

Heavenly Father, Help us not to yield to temptation because of desperation. Bind up the works of the enemy. Break the captives free from bondage.

Help us, Lord, not to dwell on the negativity of this world, but instead let us embrace the positivity of your grace. The devil will let us see hopelessness where there is hope, and he will open our eyes to doubt when all we need is to strengthen our faith. Lord, remove anyone who will give us ungodly advice and send forth people who possess godly principles and words of upliftment and encouragement during our times of desperation.

Thank you, Lord, for leading us out of the valley of the shadow of death so that we do not allow desperation to let us live our life in regret.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
