Beware of the Spirit of Stubbornness

Today's Devotion, Beware of the Spirit of Stubbornness. Stubborn people learn more from consequences than they will learn from advice. But people who are determined are positive minded and they have a willingness to change where it is necessary. Stubbornness is a serious sin and many people are unaware of it.

Stubbornness can cause you to see things your way and not God's way. God will guide his children but if we become stubborn that can lead to making bad decisions all because we are set in our ways. Stubbornness can be passed down from generation to generation.

Whenever we harden our hearts and stop obeying God's word because of our stubbornness, he will stop listening to our prayer. In Proverbs 1 verse 23 to 24 it is written, Repent at my rebuke, then I will pour out my thoughts to you. I will make known to you my teaching.

But since you refuse to listen when I call and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand, my brothers and sisters in Christ, we sabotage ourselves because of stubbornness. In Proverbs 28 verse 14 it is written, Blessed is the one who always trembles before God, but whoever hardens their heart falls into trouble. Heavenly Father, we come against the of stubbornness and we seek your forgiveness.

Lord, help us to change our ways, remove the spirit of stubbornness and replace it with the spirit of obedience. In Psalm 32 verse 5 it is written, I acknowledge my sin unto thee and my iniquity have I not hid. I said I will confess my transgression unto the Lord and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin.

Lord, we bind, rebuke and cast out every stubborn demon that would attempt to stubbornly hold on to my life in the name of Jesus. Every stubborn situation confronting our destiny scatter by fire.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
