Today's Devotion, Lord, help us to retain our dreams. Dreaming of being in an elevator has different meanings. If you dream that you are going up, this indicates spiritual ascension in your life, progress or promotion.

If you dream that you are going down, it indicates setbacks, backsliding, being humbled or trials. If you are stuck in an elevator in your dream, it may be an indication that you are unable to change your position. In Job 22 verse 29 it is written, When men are cast down, then thou shalt say, There is lifting up, and he shall save the humble.

In Revelation 4 verse 1 it is written, After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this. In Proverbs 3 verse 35 it is written, The wise shall inherit glory, but shame shall be the promotion of fools.

Dreaming that you are in darkness has different meanings. It may mean anxiety about the unknown, sin, power of evil. It may indicate a blind spot in your life, or secrets and hidden issues you are not confronting.

In John 11 verse 10 it is written, It is when a person walks at night that they stumble, for they have no light. In Luke 22 verse 58 it is written, Every day I was with you in the temple courts, and you did not lay a hand on me. But this is your hour when darkness reigns.

In John 12 verse 35 it is written, Then Jesus told them, You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going.

Heavenly Father, give us the wisdom and clarity to understand our dreams. Help us to retain our memory so that we can be aware of its meaning. Lord, we know that the devil will do whatever he can for our dreams to vanish from our minds, and we ask you to cover us with the blood of Jesus and protect us.

We thank you Lord for sending destiny helpers that will interpret the dreams of those who are unable to do it.
