Prayer for restoration of our memory
Today's Devotion, Prayer for restoration of our memory. Heavenly Father, we come before you for your guidance and your protection. Lord, we pray for those who are having problems in retaining important things in their mind.
In Proverbs 10 verse 7 it is written, The memory of the righteous is a blessing, but the name of the wicked will rot. There is nothing that you cannot do, because you are a miracle working God. You can restore our mind and remove the spirit of forgetfulness.
You are the God who made the human brain, and nothing about us is hidden from your sight. Where there is forgetfulness, bring restoration. Where there is distraction, help us to remain focused.
In Psalm 119 verse 37 it is written, Turn away my eyes from looking at vanity, and revive me in your ways. Whatever is contributing to the loss of our memory. When we have dreams, and when we are frequently forgetting the important things, we are depending for you to give us restoration.
Help us to be persistent, to pray without ceasing. In Romans 8 verse 5 to 6 it is written, For those who live according to the flesh, set their minds on the things of the flesh. But those who live according to the spirit, set their minds on the things of the spirit.
For to set the mind on the flesh is death. But to set the mind on the spirit is life and peace. Lord, I plead the blood of Jesus over my mind, and every decision, vow, and covenant of household witchcraft affecting me be nullified by the blood of Jesus.
I place the blood of Jesus upon myself and my family. In the name of Jesus, I destroy every generational curse that is sent to create insanity or to cause us not to retain things in our mind, so that it doesn't cause us to lose focus, so that we do not keep forgetting. I cancel every word curse that has been spoken in idle jesting about my inability to remember or comparing me to someone who has mental health issues.
Holy Spirit, destroy every negative comments about forgetfulness, and lead us so that we remember the things that are important. In James 1 verse 22 to 25 it is written, Be doers of the word and not hearers only, otherwise you are deceiving yourself. For anyone who hears the word but does not carry it out is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and after observing himself goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.
But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and continues to do so, not being a forgetful hearer but an effective doer, he will be blessed in what he does. Thank you Lord for destroying the devil's plan by retaining our memory.
All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
