Today's Devotion, Lord, help us to overcome our unforeseen challenges. The unforeseen challenges that we encounter in life will never expose themselves when you are making your plans. These are situations that arise without prior warning and the consequences can range from minor inconvenience to major setbacks.

There are setbacks in life that may prevent you from getting married. It may cause you to close a business that you have invested heavily in. It may cause you to sell something that is important to you in order to get out of debt.

Regardless of whatever you may be going through, delays will come. Plans will change. Our lives may take a change for the worse.

People who you have started a business with may end up abandoning you when things get bad. The journey of life doesn't come with road signs or warning signs. On our journey, we will meet dishonest people and good people.

But always remember, how we deal with our setbacks will determine if we are strong enough to make a comeback. Your choices can work for you and it can also work against you. If you associate with people who will motivate you, you will see the good in every bad situation.

If you associate with people who will demotivate you, you will never go forward in life. God allows things to happen for a reason and he will put you in uncomfortable situations to get your undivided attention. In 2 Corinthians 4 verse 16 to 17 it is written, Therefore we do not lose heart, though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. My brothers and sisters in Christ, this is a reminder from God that our struggles are temporary with eternal rewards awaiting us. God uses tough times to get our undivided attention.

Dwelling on the problem will never get you out of the problem, but giving the problem to the problem solver can. Heavenly Father, you have many ways in getting our attention. Lord, we come to you seeking your guidance because our burdens seem so unbearable.

Lord, all scriptures is breathed out by you and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness. We call upon you to give us strength to deal with our burdens. In the face of our problems we humbly seek your guidance and we thank you for increasing our faith.

Help us to trust in your wisdom and find peace in your presence.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
