Live by God's words

Today's Devotion, Live by God's words. In Matthew 6 verse 1 it is written, Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.

God doesn't endorse showboating and those who indulge in it will not receive their blessing from God. Those who have given their lives to God have a responsibility to win souls for His kingdom by living by His standards, not by your standards. In Luke 10 verse 19 it is written, Behold, I have given unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

God didn't select you to compromise with demons or to turn a blind eye to the plans of the workers of iniquity. If you do not use your authority to cast them out, they will destroy you. In Luke 6 verse 35 to 36 it is written, But love your enemies, and do good, and lend expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High.

For He is kind to the ungrateful and the evil. Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. My brothers and sisters in Christ, our pride has a way of turning us away from these words.

When we are obedient to God's word, He will protect us and direct us. Don't rethink about what they did to you. Think about what God has in store for you.

Heavenly Father, I come before you today asking for a heart that delights in your ways and a mind that meditates on your word. Open my eyes so that I may see the truth in your law and walk in the path you have prepared. Give me the strength, wisdom, and courage to surrender my own will to yours, not what I want, but what you want.

Guide my steps, order my days, and let your light shine through my life so that others may know you.

All these I ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
