Prayer for those who are sick
Today's Devotion, Prayer for those who are sick. Heavenly Father, I come to you in prayer, knowing that you are our healer. I ask you, Lord, to take away sickness, infirmity and pain from those who are not feeling well.
In Psalm 103, verse 2 to 3, it is written, Bless the Lord, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. We pray for those who are unable to find their way to the doctor. You are a miracle working God.
In Exodus 15, verse 26, it is written, I am the Lord who heals you. The woman with the issue of blood was healed because of her faith, and I pray that those who are going through their sickness will extend the same faith that she did. In Psalm 107, verse 19 to 20, it is written, Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
He sent out his word and healed them. He rescued them from the grave. Lord Jesus, whatever complications that the doctors cannot find, we know that you know what the problem is.
Whether it is physical or spiritual, you can heal them. Lord, you are the healer of our souls and bodies. You who put down and raise up, who chastise and also heal in your great mercy, visit our brother and sister who is sick.
Stretch forth your hand that is full of healing and health, and raise them up from the bed and cure them of their illness. By your word alone, we can be healed. You did it for the centurion who asked Jesus to heal his paralyzed servant, and we know that you can do it for us.
Give us health of mind and body so that we who suffer under sin may overcome and win the victory in you. I thank you, Lord, our healer, that those who are healed will have testimonies of your goodness and your grace and tell it to others to win souls for your kingdom.
All these we ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
