Dreams have meanings
Today's Devotion, Dreams have meanings. God frequently communicates through dreams and visions. In Job 33 verse 15 to 18 it is written, He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night.
When deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds, He whispers in their ears and terrifies them with warnings. He makes them turn from doing wrong. He keeps them from pride.
He protects them from the grave, from crossing over the river of death. If you dream about seeing rats, it refers to a wicked person, a betrayer. Plague, it also means unclean.
In Proverbs 17 verse 13 it is written, Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house. And in Leviticus 26 verse 21 it is written, And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearten unto me, I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. If you dream about snakes, this is not a good dream.
Danger, hatred, slander, witchcraft, deception. It also refers to a curse. In Proverbs 23 verse 32 it is written, In the end it bites like a snake and poisons like a viper.
And in Isaiah 59 verse 5 it is written, They hatch the eggs of vipers and spin a spider's web. Whoever eats their eggs will die. And when one is broken and other is hatched.
If you should dream about termites, it refers to corruption, secret sin, deception, hidden, destruction. In Haggai 1 verse 6 it is written, You have planted much but harvested little. You eat but never have enough.
You drink but never have your fill. You put on clothes but are not warm. You earn wages only to put them in a purse with holes in it.
If you should dream about swines, it means unclean, idolater, glutton, backslider, unbeliever, selfish, fornicator. In Matthew 7 verse 6 it is written, Do not give dogs what is sacred. Do not throw your pearls to pigs.
If you do, they may trample them under their feet and turn and tear you to pieces. Heavenly Father, we thank you for speaking to us through dreams. Open our spiritual ears so we can receive your message and grant us clear discernment to understand what you want us to be aware of.
Help us, Lord, to remember our dreams because the devil will do his best to distract us. Lord, thank you for protecting our mind during the night and keep us from spiritual attacks, fear, and confusion.
