Be careful of who tells your side of the story
Today's Devotion, Be careful of who tells your side of the story. There will be times when you find yourself in a situation and people will never hear your side of the story.
Your friendships may deteriorate because they didn't hear your side of the story. A neighbor, a co-worker, or even a family member may cut you off all because they didn't hear your side of the story. Just one minute of explaining can restore a friendship but the sad reality is that they may never hear your side of the story.
God has a way of putting you in some awkward situation that will teach us lessons and to show us how some people are. God doesn't make mistakes but we do. In Matthew 7 verse 1 to 2 it is written, Do not judge or you too will be judged for in the same way you judge others you will be judged and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.
One thing that I have learned about life, you don't always have to tell your side of the story. Time will. Never say what you heard especially when you didn't hear it from the mouth of the person who said it.
Some people are good at adding to what was said and that can multiply your anger and cause a division in the friendship. Many people will dislike you because they didn't hear your side of the story. In Luke 6 verse 31 to 32 it is written, Do to others as you would have them do to you.
If you love those who love you what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them and if you do good to those who are good to you what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. Heavenly Father we come against the misunderstandings that has ruined many relationships and we pray for you to expose those who find joy in creating mischief against your people. In Psalm 21 verse 11 it is written, Though they plot evil against you and devise wicked schemes they cannot succeed.
Lord you are not blind to the things that we do and you are not deaf to the things that we say. In 2nd Corinthians 5 verse 10 it is written, For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ that each one may receive his due for the things done in the body whether good or bad. In Proverbs 6 verse 12 to 15 it is written, A worthless person a wicked man walks with a perverse mouth winking his eyes speaking with his feet and pointing with his fingers.
With deceit in his heart he devises evil he continually sows discord therefore calamity will come upon him suddenly. In an instant he will be shattered beyond recovery. Lord we thank you for taking control while we remain silent.
All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
