Wait on God's timing

Today's Devotion, Wait on God's timing. Promotion without preparation can cause problems and frustration. When God promotes you, he prepares you to deal with the challenges ahead. God prepared David to fight Goliath through lonely days as a shepherd, where protecting his flock from fierce wild animals built his physical skill, deep courage, and unshakable faith in God's power.

God prepared the woman with the issue of blood through twelve years of exhausting trials. If it wasn't because of her faith, she would not have been healed. She bravely pushed through the crowd to touch Jesus' garment and was healed.

God will never promote you before preparing you, but there are some people who will do it because they have an ulterior motive. In Isaiah 55 verse 8 to 9 it is written, For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, beware of promotion without preparation, because your ego will encourage you to take it, but embarrassment will cause you to regret it. Because your ignorance can ignite the flame of someone else's arrogance. Whatever God does not endorse, the devil's hand is in it.

We are free to make our choices, wait on the Lord, or go to the devil. Heavenly Father, we pray for those who cannot wait on your perfect timing and they have given their soul to the devil. Lord, help those who lack knowledge and want to fulfill their worldly desires because they are influenced by the workers of iniquity.

In Ecclesiastes 12 verse 13 to 14 it is written, Now all has been heard, here is the conclusion of the matter. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind, for God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil. Lord, we pray for those who have allowed desperation to resort to ungodly choices because they cannot wait on your timing.

We pray for those who are naive, who have been promoted without preparation and they don't have a clue that their integrity is at stake. We pray for those who have looked for help in dark places and sought guidance from the devil. Lord, break every false bond, blind chain, and evil promise they have made out of fear and rush.

Break every contract or deal made with the enemy in their moment of weakness. God give us the grace to wait on you when our days and timing may seem long.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
