Lord, have mercy
Today's Devotion, Lord, have mercy. A few days ago after praying I was sweeping the yard, I then heard a rumbling sound and I stopped sweeping. The sound eventually faded away.
Afterwards I heard a voice say, prepare for an earthquake. It was God giving me a message and I knew that it was a warning for me to share with my people in Jamaica. God is angry and he is going to release his wrath upon us.
We have taken his forgiveness for granted. People are earning a living from contract killings and our children are being influenced by ungodly people who are singing songs that are written by the devil himself. Our churches are under attack by slanderers and news carriers.
Beware of people who have one service in the church and when that has ended they have another service outside of the church. They praise God inside and destroy the characters of their church brothers and sisters outside of the church. Some people are so heartless only cutting onions can let them shed tears.
People are using social media to embarrass people because the more likes and shares they get is the more money that they will make. Before you indulge in character assassination make sure that your life is right with God. Our wars are internal and this has contributed to our hardships.
In Matthew 24 verse 67 it is written. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen.
But the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
Heavenly Father, Merciful Father, we have disappointed you many times. Families are fighting over land and houses by their deceased mothers and fathers. We have found joy in destroying other people's character and that has pushed them to commit suicide.
Greed has caused people to find those who are workers of iniquity and some have joined organizations that the devil is in control of. In 1 Timothy 6 verse 9 it is written. But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a sneer and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction and in Romans 31 verse 8 it is written.
Destruction and mercy is in their path. Lord I call upon you to have mercy upon us. In 2 Chronicles 7 verse 14 it is written. If my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
