Have faith in God

Today's Devotion, Have faith in God. Broken promises can waste precious time, and it can also destroy trust. Anyone can make a promise, but not everyone can keep their promise.

Woman, beware of men who will sweep you off your feet with their words, but send you to your grave with their action. Also beware of the fathers who multiply their children and then divide them from their mothers. They are good at adding to your stress.

Men, beware of the women whose best friends are pathological liars, because they will use their lies to get them out of trouble. Also, beware of the women who will love you for what you have, because they may fall in love with someone who has more than you. God always keeps his promises, and if he disappoints us, it is always to protect us.

Leave it to God to make your choices, no matter how simple it may be, because the devil will use the simple things to create serious problems. People will change, but God will never change. In Hebrews 13 verse 8 it is written, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

God has a way of teaching us lessons. He will put you in a situation where you need help, and you will find out that the person who you will always find time to help will never find time to help you. In Joshua 1 verse 9 it is written, Have I not commanded you, be strong and courageous? Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Heavenly Father, many times we make decisions and put our trust in man, and do not turn to you for guidance. Lack of knowledge has caused many of us to do things without your approval, and we end up regretting what we have done. In Micah 7 verse 5 to 6 it is written, Put no trust in a neighbor, have no confidence in a friend, guard the doors of your mouth, from her who lies in your arms.

For the son treats the father with contempt, the daughter rises up against the mother, the daughter-in-law against the mother-in-law. A man's enemies are the men of his own house. Lord, please forgive us for the mistakes that we have made.

Help us not to lean on our own understanding, all because we want to do things in our time and not your time. Give us the grace to be still, to wait patiently for your perfect timing. There is no plan that man can make that will be better than what you have made for us. Thank you for being our strength, our shield, and our refuge.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
