Lord, protects us from wars and extortion

Today's Devotion, Lord, protects us from wars and extortion. We live in a world where people have become heartless and innocent people have been killed because some countries and families see war and violence as ways to resolve their conflicts. Some of us no longer solve our problems through praying, they solve it by contract killing and jungle justice.

Some people will give you ratings when they see you with a gun in your waist, but they will laugh at you when they see you with a Bible in your hand. The gun will run out of bullets, but the word of God is always effective. In Ecclesiastes 7 verse 7 to 10 it is written, Extortion turns a wise person into a fool and a bribe corrupts the heart.

The end of a matter is better than its beginning, and patience is better than pride. Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools. Do not say, why were the old days better than these? For it is not wise to ask such questions.

And in Ezekiel 18 verse 18 it is written, As for his father, because he practiced extortion, robbed his brother, and did what is not among his people, behold, he shall die for his iniquity. Many businesses have been closed because of extortion, and innocent people have been killed because of it. Heavenly Father, we pray for those who are in need of your divine protection, justice, and the restoration of stolen assets.

Lord, destroy the plans of the enemy who seek to take food from the mouth of the innocent. In Psalm 62 verse 10 it is written, Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods, though your riches increase. Do not set your heart on them.

Lord, we thank you for your guidance and your protection, and we thank you for destroying the plots and plans of the enemy.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen, Amen.
