Lord, help the single parents who are in need of your intervention

Today's Devotion, Lord, help the single parents who are in need of your intervention. Some people will bypass the garbage bin and throw the garbage on the floor, not because they don't know better, but because they are vindictive. Being spiteful and vindictive can pull you away from God and push you closer to the devil.

In Matthew 10 verse 28 it is written, And do not fear those who kill the body, but cannot kill the soul. Rather, fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Parenting is hard especially when both persons don't see eye to eye.

God will allow things to happen so that the hidden secrets that they don't want you to see will be exposed. Jealousy, vindictiveness, spitefulness, malice, hatred are characteristics that can destroy parenting if they cannot be controlled. The worst thing that can happen is when you are in a relationship with someone who you cannot trust, someone who will walk away from you when you need them most, someone who finds joy in being around friends than being around their family.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, we cannot join relationships together that God does not approve. A snake will shed its skin, but it is still a snake. Learn to control how you respond to things sent to destroy your peace.

Never force yourself into a relationship that is toxic. Never assume that they will change their attitude if they are set in their ways. Never give up your peace for someone else's pleasure.

God doesn't make mistakes. In James 1 verse 17 it is written, Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly light, who does not change like shifting shadows. Heavenly Father, we pray for single parents who are struggling, yet they still do the best for their children, and they are doing their best to live a godly life.

Lord, we seek your divine intervention, and we call upon you to remove the stubbornness and the hardened heart of those whose pride are preventing them to stand up for their responsibility. Because you, Lord, can mend what seems to be impossible, and you always said you will be here for us during our times of need once we submit ourselves to you.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
