Today's Devotion, God sees our hidden sins. God sees everything that we do and no matter how good we are at hiding things, there is nothing that we can hide from God. Keeping silent about wrongdoing can cause deep emotional and physical distress.

As King David described in Psalm 32 verse 3 to 5, it is written, When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped as in the heat of summer.

Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the Lord. And you forgave the guilt of my sin.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, here are some hidden sins that we may be ignorant of. Discontent and complaining. In Philippians 2 verse 14 it is written, Do everything without grumbling or arguing.

Jealousy is a hidden sin. In James 3 verse 16 it is written, For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. Impure thoughts is a hidden sin.

In Matthew 5 verse 28 it is written, But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. Resentment is a hidden sin. In Romans 12 verse 17 it is written, Do not repay anyone evil for evil.

Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everyone. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Gossip is a hidden sin.

In Ephesians 4 verse 29 it is written, Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Laziness is a hidden sin. In Proverbs 6 verse 6 to 8 it is written, Go to the ant, you sluggard, consider its ways and be wise.

It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gather its food at harvest. Envy is a hidden sin. In Proverbs 14 verse 30 it is written, A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bone.

Pride is a hidden sin. In Proverbs 16 verse 18 it is written, Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall. Heavenly Father, we thank you for opening our eyes about the hidden sins that we do not admit.

But you see, you see everything that is done in secret. Nothing is hidden from your sight. Lord, we call upon you to shine the light of your Holy Spirit into the dark corners of our heart and remove every hidden sin that we have secretly put aside.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
