Stop Blocking Your Blessing

Today's Devotion, Stop Blocking Your Blessing. We can sometimes be our biggest enemy when we open our heart to anger and unforgiveness to stay in our heart all because we do not want to open it to forgive. Unforgiveness can prevent God from opening doors for you. Many times we pray for something and it may seem to be put aside.

One of the first things that we should do is to search our heart to see if there is anything that is in it that God doesn't approve of. Unsaid prayer is an indication that you have removed unforgiveness from your heart. In 1 John 5 verse 14 to 15 it is written, This is the confidence we have in approaching God, that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.

And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we ask of him. When you are in need of guidance to make important decisions and God answers your prayer, this is an indication that your heart is not blocking your blessing. In Proverbs 11 verse 14 it is written, For lack of guidance a nation falls, but victory is won through many advisors.

Your obedience to God can create opportunities that you didn't ask for. God will speak to you in a dream and he will direct you. In Job 33 verse 14 to 15 it is written, For God does speak now one way, now another, though no one perceives it of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds.

He may be speaking about your next opportunity. Heavenly Father, we thank you for opening the doors that were closed because we have removed unforgiveness from our heart. Holy Spirit, I invite you into my heart so that you will guide me daily so that I will continue to live a godly life and be guided to make decisions that is aligned with your principles.

Help us Lord not to be selfish when you bless us. In Proverbs 11 verse 25 it is written, The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed. Those who help others are helped.

Help us Lord to exercise wisdom in our daily decisions and principles. Let us not be influenced by our emotions that will block our blessing and open our eyes to peace and forgiveness instead of malice and unforgiveness. Because these things will block our blessing and we thank you for wisdom not to yield to temptation and remove pride from us.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
