Walking with God

Today's Devotion, Walking with God. Once you start walking with God, you will have to walk away from the crowd. In the crowd, you can be easily distracted.

The closer you walk with God, the less room there is for anything to come in between. Once you start walking with God, you must be obedient. He may tell you to send a message to forgive someone who you took an oath against that you will never speak to them as long as you live.

In Ephesians 4 verse 31 it is written, Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. And in James 5 verse 12 it is written, Above all my brothers and sisters do not swear, not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say yes or no, otherwise you will be condemned.

When you start walking with God, you must trust Him through difficult times, and you must be consistent in your worship. In Psalm 9 verse 9 to 10 it is written, The Lord is a stronghold from the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, we cannot walk with God if we don't have faith. In Hebrews 11 verse 1 it is written, Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Heavenly Father, if it wasn't for our challenges and our setbacks, many of us wouldn't find you.

Help us to remove our pride and give us the strength to embrace humility. Help us not to be easily angered when we may not see eye to eye with someone. Lord, in Proverbs 3 verse 5 to 6 it is written, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.

In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight. Lord, we thank you for your guidance, because we know that trials will come. Help us not to throw in the towel because of frustration, but give us the strength to find our knees to pray ourselves out of our situation.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
