Never be too busy for God

Today's Devotion, Never be too busy for God. Never allow your busy schedule to let you become too busy for God. Remember that God is a jealous God, and He will remove what is getting your attention so that He can get your undivided attention.

Some people are so busy indulging in sin that they can't find time to repent, because repentance isn't on their list of things to do. Death is always busy. No matter how busy we are, death is busier than us.

Death has traveled all over the world, and there isn't a day that death doesn't visit someone. Death doesn't need an invitation, and it doesn't schedule an appointment. There are two ways that we can prepare for death.

It is either by insurance or repentance. An insurance policy can provide the finances for your funeral, but repentance is considered a key element of salvation, and is often described as a necessary part of gaining eternal life through faith. Being buried in a gold casket or having an expensive funeral doesn't impress God.

He is more interested in how you lived your life, not what you were buried in, because dust we are, and dust we will return. One of the best gifts we can give ourselves is being busy spending time with God. The devil will distract you in many ways so that you can't find time to spend with God, because the devil is busy recruiting people to go to hell with him.

In 2 Timothy 3 verse 16-17 it is written, All Scripture is God-breathed, and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. And in Psalm 119 verse 1-4 and verse 9 it is written, Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord. Blessed are those who keep his statuettes, and seek him with all their heart.

They do no wrong, but follow his ways. You have laid down precepts that are to be fully obeyed. How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word, Heavenly Father.

You said in your word, like newborn babies crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good. Lord, no matter how busy we are, help us to discipline our mind, so that we put you above all the things that we have to do. You are our provider, and the devil is a deceiver.

Help us not to be deceived by focusing on the wrong things, because our priority will always be you.

All these we ask, in Jesus name, Amen.
