Today's Devotion, Prayer for Rebellious Children. Heavenly Father, I pray for the parents, the grandparents, the single mothers and fathers who have challenges to deal with their rebellious children. Lord, you are a perfect parent, full of wisdom, compassion and grace. We are in need of your intervention because many times we are guilty of giving them what they want instead of giving them what they need.

We are sometimes guilty of allowing them to do things their way instead of doing things your way. Lord, you can change the heart of a king and we know that you can change the heart of a rebellious child. In Proverbs 21 verse 1 it is written, In the Lord's hand the king's heart is a stream of water that he channels toward all who please him.

And in Isaiah 54 verse 13 it is written, And all your children will be taught by the Lord, and great will be their peace. Mighty God, there isn't anything that is impossible for you, because you can see our tears and you will answer our prayers. In Psalm 120 verse 1 it is written, I call on the Lord in my distress and he answers me.

Lord, give us the strength not to be frustrated and lose our faith because that is what the devil wants us to do. Open our spiritual appetite to pray without ceasing so that we will destroy the plans of the enemy. Lord, break all ungodly soul ties that they have created and also destroy all the bad influences that are misleading them Because there can be repentance when there is life, but there is none when they are in the coffin.

In John 10 verse 10 it is written, The thief comes to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life and have it to the full. Lord, we thank you for your intervention and we thank you for fixing things your way, especially when we fail.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
