Lord, give us the strength to deal with our struggles

Today's devotion, Lord, give us the strength to deal with our struggles. It is better to struggle your way out than to sin your way in. The things that we value in life are not the things that are given to us on a pedestal without effort.

It's the things that we have to struggle for in order to achieve our goals by making sacrifices. The struggle that you are going through today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow. I have seen mothers sell their jewelry to take care of their children because of irresponsible fathers.

And I have seen fathers take full custody of their children because of unfaithful mothers. People will never envy you because of your struggles, but they will hate you because of your achievements. It is our struggles that show how strong we are when things seem to be falling apart around us.

Every struggle that you overcome can become a stepping stone towards your breakthrough and a testimony about God's goodness and His grace. Never resort to ungodly practices to try and overcome your struggles by indulging in sin. If God does not approve it, do not partake in it.

You cannot sin your way into heaven, but you can sin your way into hell. Be strong enough to stand alone instead of seeking help from the wrong people. Be smart enough to remind God that He said that He will never leave you nor forsake you.

And be brave enough not to resort to temptation in whatever way it may come. In Romans 12 verse 1 to 2 it is written, Therefore I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. This is your true and proper worship.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, His good, pleasing and perfect will. Heavenly Father, we come to you with our burdens that have contributed to our tears and our pains.

Grant us the practice to endure and the courage to keep a positive attitude and pray instead of worrying. Help us to trust your perfect timing and know that you are working all things for our good. God, we know that you are faithful and you won't allow us to be tempted beyond our abilities.

Thank you, Lord, for increasing our faith and removing our doubt.

All these we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
