Lord, Help Us to Make the Right Decisions

Today's devotion, Lord, help us to make the right decisions. Some people build bridges to unite us while others build walls to separate us. People who cannot forgive will burn the bridges.

But those who know the importance of the bridges are eager to rebuild it. In life we are always faced in making decisions. Some will work for us and some will work against us.

Life is a matter of choices and every choice comes with a consequence. God has a way of putting us in situations that we may have to make some uncomfortable decisions. Some decisions can give you peace of mind even though you may have lost money.

And some will give you sleepless nights even though you may have gained money. I remember walking away from a business because there was a contract on my life. God allowed it to happen because I felt an inner peace that I can't explain.

The money that we lose today can be made back tomorrow. But life that is lost can never be replaced. Your job is replaceable but your life isn't.

Every decision that you make in life should be made by God. We will make mistakes but God doesn't. God's guidance is all you need.

It may seem to be taking you backward physically but He is rerouting you spiritually. Never allow your distraction to affect your decision. In Luke 5 verse 16 it is written, But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed, My brothers and sisters in Christ, If you find time for God, He will find time for you.

And in Proverbs 19 verse 20 it is written, Listen to advice and accept discipline and at the end you will be counted among the wise. He will protect you from making mistakes. In Psalm 28 verse 7 it is written, The Lord is my strength and my shield.

My heart trusts in Him and He helps me. My heart leaps for You and with my song I praise Him. Heavenly Father, thank you for your guidance and your wisdom.

Help us to understand the situation clearly so that we will make the right decisions. Lord, I trust you to lead us on the right path. Help us to avoid ungodly counsel and to follow the path that you have laid out.

Free us from the fear of making mistakes. And help us to trust in your plan regardless of what may happen.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
