Today's Devotion, Lord, help us to fix our bad decisions. There will be times that we will have to accept the good with the bad. Bad things happen to good people, and good things happen to bad people.
Good people sometimes make bad decisions. Remember that we are imperfect people who worship a perfect God. No matter how good we are, there are times when we will have to disappoint some people.
Your kindness can open the door to your weakness. Good people must be aware of some time-ish people. A some time-ish person is someone who is moody or unpredictable with their behavior, often changing from one moment to the next.
You may be happy with them today and tomorrow. You will see a grumpy or a miserable person, and you will wonder if you have done anything that has caused them to change their attitude. God will put you in a relationship for a reason.
It may be for you to change them, not for them to change you. Never let someone's bad attitude let you change your good attitude. This is why we must never make decisions or do things on our own.
We must always leave our decisions to be made by God. Never let your emotions cause you to fight fire with fire. In Proverbs 15 verse 1 to 4 it is written, A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouths of fools pour out folly. The eyes of the Lord are in every place keeping watch on the evil and the good. A gentle tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.
Heavenly Father, we pray for those who are in relationships with moody people. Those who work with moody people and those who live with moody people. In Proverbs 17 verse 14 it is written, The beginning of strife is like letting out water, so quit before the quarrel breaks out.
God please help us to have patience and strength when things seem as if they are getting out of control. Lord, you are our problem solver and our burden bearer and we are in need of your assistance. Lord help us to respond to them with a spirit of peace and remove the anger that lies in our heart.
All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
