Beware of Hidden Jealousy

Today's Devotion, Beware of Hidden Jealousy. Hidden jealousy is a hidden sin. No matter how good you may hide it, it cannot be concealed forever. Private business doesn't need public attention and sometimes we are responsible for saying too much to the wrong people.

When you reveal too much, it can cause hidden jealousy to grow very much. Not everyone has a partner who will give them gifts randomly, and not everyone has a boss who will give them an increase without them asking for it. In Matthew 6 verse 3 it is written, But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.

My brothers and sisters in Christ, the act of giving should be private, and when we brag about our gifts and achievements in public, this can cause us to unknowingly create problems in our lives when we say things to the wrong people. Some people are good at hiding envy in their hearts and some are good at revealing things through gossip and bitterness all because of hidden jealousy. In Proverbs 26 verse 24 to 26 it is written, Enemies disguise themselves with their lips, but in their hearts they have a deceit, though their speech is charming, do not believe them.

For seven abominations fill their hearts. Their malice may be concealed by deception, but their wickedness will be exposed in the assembly. God sends people into your life and so does the devil.

God will send destiny helpers and the devil will send destiny destroyers, and if you do not have the spirit of discernment, you may end up confiding in who the devil has sent. When you ask God to choose your friends, he may remove people who you thought were your friends. Heavenly Father, show me any hidden enemy that I have confided in because I did not turn to you to make my choices.

Father, expose every plan of darkness, betrayal, and jealousy that is meant to harm me in the mighty name of Jesus. Let no weapon be formed against me prosper, and every tongue that rise against me shall be condemned. Guard my life from the terror of the enemy, and hide me from the secret counsel and conspiracy of the ungodly.

God, if I am about to say something to the wrong people, distract me the way that you see best, so that I do not say anything that will cause jealousy.

All these we ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
