Today's Devotion, Lord, help the marriages that the devil is trying to destroy. Life has a way of teaching us lessons that we will never forget, and it will have consequences that we will always regret. I heard a message from a blogger, and he was speaking about a well-known journalist who recently died.
It is alleged that it was because of infidelity why he divorced his partner. Wrong is wrong, and we cannot change God's rules to feed our sinful desires. Many people aren't aware that sexually transmitted demons can be transferred from one person to another.
Multiple partners open the doors to multiple demons, and multiple demons have destroyed many marriages and many relationships. Slandering someone can never remove demons, but consistent praying can remove them. God strongly condemns infidelity.
In Proverbs 22 verse 14 it is written, The mouth of an adulterous woman is a deep pit. A man who is under the Lord's wrath falls into it. My brothers and sisters in Christ, this warns that the seductive and flattering words of an immoral or adulterous person act as a dangerous, inescapable trap that leads to ruin.
No matter how small your sin is, and no matter how big it may be, both sins take you to the same place. The scribes and Pharisees wanted to see if Jesus would tell them to break the law of Moses when a woman was caught in adultery. The law was that she was to be stoned to death.
If he would show mercy and contradict Jewish law, this would have given them a reason to arrest him. In John 8 verse 7 it is written, When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her. Be careful of people who recruit others to ruin the lives of someone else.
If those who were getting ready to stone the adulterous woman had no sin, she would have died. Some people are good at publicizing other people's sin, but they are secretive when it comes to hiding theirs. The Bible warns us about the dangers of sexual immorality, and we sometimes endorse the wrong things through our music.
A Gallus is a man who is skilled at dating and seducing multiple women. God doesn't change his rules to accommodate our fleshly desires. Heavenly Father, in Exodus 20 verse 14 it is written, You shall not commit adultery.
Yet we dance and endorse to them in our music. Lord, teach us that the things that seem to be right to us are not accepted by you. Help us to pray for someone who is going down the wrong path, instead of exposing their sin while we are secretly hiding ours.
In James 4 verse 4 it is written, You adulterous people, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity to God? Therefore, whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy to God. Lord, I ask that you place a hedge of protection around the marriages that temptation is trying to penetrate. Where there is weakness, grant them strength.
Lord, we thank you to bind them with cords of love that cannot be broken, and let faithfulness keep them together.
All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
