Lord, restore what the enemy has stolen
Today's Devotion. Lord, restore what the enemy has stolen. I recently got a call from a friend of mine who was distraught, and after listening to her dilemma, I felt her pain because she was deprived of her hard earned money. It is because of people why people don't trust people.
The arm of flesh will fail you. You dare not trust your own. Be careful of the nicknames that you answer to and the things that you partake in, because the tongue can bring blessing and it can also bring curse. In James three, verse nine to ten, it is written with a tongue.
We praise our Lord and father, and with it we curse human beings who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing my brothers and sisters. This should not be as a swindler, a cheat, a trickster, a con man, an embezzler are people who use deception to deprive someone of money or possessions. These people are all working for the devil because one of the characteristics of the devil is deception.
In Ephesians five, verse six, it is written, let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of such things, God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. My brothers and sisters in Christ, for the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
Heavenly father, we come against every spiritual scammer masquerading as apostles of Christ, whose aim is to deprive those who are in need of healing and spiritual guidance. Expose them and remove them in Jesus name. We come against those who deprive the elderly of their savings by embezzlement. We call upon you to let your anger fall upon them like rain.
In Exodus fifteen, verse seven to eight, it is written in the greatness of Your Majesty. You threw down those who opposed you. You unleashed your burning anger. It consumed them like stubble by the blast of your nostrils. The waters piled up. The surging waters stood up like a wall. The deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.
Lord, open the eyes of those youngsters who are spiritually naive and see scamming as a means of attaining riches. Let them know that whoever endorses coming and sings about indulging in scamming becomes an enemy to you. For all those who have been robbed by ungodly and wicked people, we call upon you for restoration because there is nothing that you cannot do because the food gained by fraud tastes sweet, but one ends up with a mouth full of gravel. Lord, we thank you for restoring what the enemy has taken.
All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen
