Today's Devotion, Lord, help us to overcome our trials and tribulations. One of the things that I have learned in my relationship with God is that trials and tribulations is a part of it. If you assume that once you give your life to God, things will be hunky-dory, you are living in wonderland with Alice.
Fairy tales and reality are on two different pages. Fairy tales tell us about Cinderella, but the Bible tells us about Delilah. God has a purpose for trials and tribulations.
Job lost his wealth, his children, and his health, but he didn't lose his trust in God. Daniel was thrown into a den of lions for refusing to stop praying to God. Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, and wrongfully imprisoned in Egypt before rising to power to save nations from famine.
God will put you in uncomfortable situations to see how dedicated you are to be obedient to Him. Every trial, difficulty, setback, and obstacle provides an opportunity to experience God's goodness and His grace. Never let your trials put you in a position to try something that is not pleasing to God.
We all face storms in life. Some are more difficult than others. Giving in to tribulations can destroy your reputation.
The easy way out can have uncomfortable results. In Romans 5 verse 3 to 5 it is written, Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance, character, and character, hope, and hope does not put us to shame because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Heavenly Father, we know that when trials and tribulations come into our lives, the devil comes with it to tempt us.
Lord, give us the strength so that we do not yield to temptation. In 1 Corinthians 10 verse 13 it is written, God is faithful. He won't allow you to be tempted beyond your abilities.
Instead, with the temptation, God will also supply a way out so that you will be able to endure it. Lord, we need your guidance, especially those who have a heavy heart because they are overwhelmed with challenges. We know that trials and tribulations are a part of our journey on the road of righteousness.
You know the pain, the confusion, and the battles that we face. Please grant us the strength to endure and give us the courage not to give up. Miracle-working God, we thank you for your help and your guidance.
All these we ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
