God will delay us to protect us, but the devil will delay us to destroy us

Today's Devotion, God will delay us to protect us, but the devil will delay us to destroy us. Once you allow God to take full control of your life, you must trust him even when things seem to stop when you want it to go. Sometimes God delays are designed for your protection.

I remember hearing a testimony from someone who missed her flight because of a traffic jam. She was very upset. Her entire schedule was changed and she had to spend more than she budgeted for.

While she was at the airport, she got the news that the airplane she missed had crashed and most of the passengers died. My brothers and sisters in Christ, there are some delays that work against us and there are some that work for us. Delays can test our faith and it can save our life.

When you are going on the road, always pray and ask God for traveling mercies because that prayer may be the protection that takes you to and from your destination. In Psalm 91 verse 11 to 13 it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Thou shalt tread upon lions and adders. The young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample on the feet. Heavenly Father, In 2 Peter 3 verse 9 to 10 it is written, The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering towards us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervored heat. Both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Lord, I thank you for the spirit of discernment so that we can know your delay and the delay that comes from the devil.

Every demonic roadblock delaying our destiny, clear by fire. O Lord, arise and let every power of delay in my life scatter. Lord, every spirit of delay sent by the forces of darkness, we remove them by fire.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
