God allows things to happen for a reason

Today's Devotion. God allows things to happen for a reason. I recently had a conversation with someone about my church hurt experience and what caused me to walk away from the church that I was attending.

God allowed it to happen for a reason, but I was too hurt and embarrassed to see that it was a blessing in disguise. The first thing that I wrote from my experience as I walked away from the church were these words, no because pass the gate church key that no mean it can't open heaven gate. One thing that I know for sure is that the devil had nothing to do with my experience.

God had everything to do with it. I didn't malice the person, nor did I try to ruin the person's character. Instead, I put these words that I heard on fridge magnets and tote bags.

These souvenirs are a testimony of God's goodness and his grace. God redirected me to a church and he has allowed me to speak at events and minister about church hurt and how I was led by God to use my experience to benefit financially. At no point did I try to recruit enemies against anyone because of my experience.

A man who is offended at a bar will not let it prevent him from drinking rum and people who are hurt from someone in the church should not let it prevent them from worshiping God. My brothers and sisters in Christ, my weeping endured for a night, but joy came in the morning. In Colossians 3 verse 13 it is written, bearing with one another and if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

Do not let your anger create disunity in the church because you will feel the wrath of God. In Matthew 12 verse 25 it is written, knowing their thoughts, he said to them, every kingdom divided against itself is laid to waste and no city or house divided against itself will stand. Heavenly Father, there are times when we do not see eye to eye with others and in Romans 16 verse 17 it is written, I appeal to you brothers to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught.

Avoid them. Lord, give us the discernment and the wisdom to identify and avoid those whose aim is to interfere in things and malign the character of others. Lord, we thank you for your protection from these ungodly people.

All these we ask in Jesus name. Amen.
