God Is Our Source

Today's Devotion, God is our Source. Do not forget God when he answers your prayers. He may have provided a job so that you could get out of your financial dilemma. You no longer are in debt, and you were able to send your children to university so that they can have a better life than you had.

No one would be comfortable helping someone, and when things are okay with them, they act as if they don't know you. If you wouldn't like it, why do we believe that God would accept it? In Job 1 verse 20-22 it is written, Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, and said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither. The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taketh away.

Blessed be the name of the Lord. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. God will never give us everything that we want, because some things are distractions, and distractions can prevent unification.

God doesn't forget our prayers. The delay may be His way of testing our faith. Do not be selfish when God blesses you.

He knows our heart, and He also knows if we have a motive. In Hebrews 13 verse 16 it is written, And do not forget to do good, and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. My brothers and sisters in Christ, God is our source, not people.

There are some people who will cut you off when you are in need, but God will never leave you, nor forsake you. God is our source, not your job, because when you no longer have a job, He is still your provider. God is our source, not your connections, because when your connections disappear, God is always there.

Do not build a convenient relationship with God. In Numbers 23 verse 19 it is written, God is not man, that he should lie, neither the son of man, that he should repent, hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Heavenly Father, we thank you for your goodness, faithfulness, and provision. Lord, help us not to complain when our needs are not met immediately.

We know that in whatever we face, you are our refuge and our strength, a very pleasant help in times of trouble. Thank you, Lord, for being our source, because without you, we would all perish.

All these we ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
