God open our eyes to the small sins that we do

Today's Devotion, God open our eyes to the small sins that we do. Private sins always have public consequences. In the eyes of God there is no sin greater than another.

Finding an excuse to sin will never change the result that comes with it. Don't minimize small sins and don't overrate big sins. We all are in need of God's salvation and we are in no place to judge others as if we are perfect.

A few months ago a friend of mine had some business to take care of so he submitted a sick leave so that he would still receive his salary. A few weeks after he became sick and he was unable to receive his salary because he had taken all of his sick leave. Physical sin has spiritual consequences.

Did you know that it is a sin to submit a sick leave and you are not sick? It has workplace consequences that can lead to lack of trust and credibility. It has personal consequences and it can lead to ruining your integrity. And it has spiritual consequences because lying affects your relationship with God.

In Philippians 4 verse 19 it is written, But my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. If God will supply all your needs, He will replace what you have lost. All you need to do is to have faith.

In Proverbs 12 verse 22 it is written, Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight. And in Leviticus 19 verse 11 it is written, Do not steal, do not lie, do not deceive one another. My brothers and sisters in Christ, never compromise your faith to fit in.

Don't conform to the ways of the world or condone sin. Fear God and avoid being around deceptive people because they have a way of making wrong seems right. In Proverbs 10 verse 32 it is written, The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked speaketh fraudness.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for opening our eyes to the small sins that we do from time to time, and we repent for our actions. Help us to seek your guidance in everything that we do, so that we do not lean on our own understanding. Remove people from our path that will tempt us to sin, and replace them with righteous mentors that will correct us when we are about to do things that are wrong.

Lord, let your words be a guide to us, so that we can know and do the things that are right, and avoid doing the things that aren't.

All these we ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
