Prayer is a powerful tool

Today's devotion. Prayer is a powerful tool. Never underestimate the power of prayer. It is the key that opens the door for us to have a conversation with God. In James 5 verse 16 it is written, Confess your faults one to another, and pray for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective because God hears and take action. Change can be accomplished, most of all, through the power of prayer. Because with God all things are possible.
Prayer creates a personal change in your life. Prayer is a dialogue, not a monologue. To pray effectively, we must listen to God as well as speak to him.
Prayer has no boundaries. It doesn't need a visa if you are praying for someone overseas. God assigns angels to us and this is why when we are leaving our homes, we must pray and ask God to send guardian angels to protect us from the unforeseen plans of the enemy.
Everything that happens in the physical also happens in the spiritual and this is why we must be consistent in our prayer life. Always start our day with prayer and always remember to pray before we go to sleep. Once your prayer life decreases, the plans of the enemy increases and if you are not grounded and rooted, it will be difficult to stand against the attacks of the enemy.
You cannot pray and worry at the same time. When you speak God's word, you must speak with confidence and authority and speak it into being. Prayer should always be your first response to every situation and not your last resort.
Heavenly Father, you are the creator of heaven and earth and there is no other God like you. We may not always get immediate answers to our prayers and if we are weak in faith, we will have a challenge waiting while you answer our prayers. You have endless angels on assignment for every situation in our lives.
I pray for those who are sick. I pray for angels to be sent to those who are on the verge of committing suicide and going through a high level of depression. Lord, you know our individual needs and you know about our sinful lifestyle.
Lord, we call upon you for your help because if you do not help us, the devil will destroy us. Thank you Lord for answering our prayers and give us the strength to have faith while we wait.
All these we ask in Jesus name. Amen.
