Lord, Take Control of Our Fear

Today's devotion, Lord, take control of our fear. This morning as I woke up I saw a message that someone sent to me and these were the words that I believe is worth sharing especially during a time like this. God when I am afraid I will put my trust in you.

I know that when you are for me nothing can stand against me. Right now I surrender my fears to you. Please take my concerns, shame and problems and replace them with your peace and truth.

Protect my mind as I continue to draw close to you. These words really touched my heart because I know that many people are living in fear. The fear of losing a job, the fear of losing a partner, the fear of losing the trust of someone who confides in them and they would go the extra mile for them.

Fear affects different areas of our lives and whenever fear comes with doubt it can make a bad situation worse. Never let your fear decide your future and never forget that God has a remedy for fear and it comes through prayer. We sometimes allow fear to gain access to our mind and wherever fear goes it pushes out faith and hope.

A body in a coffin has no fear but someone looking at the coffins biggest fear is when they are going to go in it. In 1st John 4 verse 18 it is written, There is no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear for fear has to do with a punishment and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. And in Isaiah 35 verse 4 it is written, Say to those with fearful hearts be strong.

Do not fear your God will come. He will come with vengeance, with divine retribution. He will come to save you.

My brothers and sisters in Christ whenever you are going through fear seek God. In Psalm 34 verse 4 it is written, I sought the Lord and He answered me. He delivered me from all my fears.

Heavenly Father we pray for those who are living in fear because they have given doubt more attention. Lord I ask that you cast out all fear from their heart mind and soul. Help us to trust in your perfect love knowing that you have a plan for our lives.

Give us the courage to face our challenges that comes our way. Lord we thank you for the courage of David so that when we face our Goliath we will not have fear.

All these we ask in Jesus name, Amen.
