Leave our decisions to God

Today's Devotion, Leave our decisions to God. When you are about to make a decision, consult God. It doesn't matter how simple it may be because when you make a decision, it gets your approval not his. Sometimes all it takes is one prayer to change everything and there are times we make a decision because of our egotistic attitude and it will spoil everything.

The best decisions are made through prayer and the best results come from prayer. Prayer is the key that unlocks all doors. God can make your private prayer into public miracles and he can also turn your selfish decisions into public embarrassment.

Never allow people to influence you to get into a relationship that God doesn't approve because they are making their decision based on what they see but God's decision comes from what he knows. When God favors you, even your enemies will have to bless you. In Proverbs 16 verse 7 it is written, When a man's way please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

When God disappoints you by not giving you something that you want, do not be discouraged. God is working it out for your own good. Not because a job may be paying you better, that doesn't mean that you will live better because a stressful job can cause you to complain more and give thanks less.

In Colossians 3 verse 15 it is written, Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body, you were called to peace, and be thankful. And in 2 Thessalonians 1 verse 3 it is written, We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing. My brothers and sisters in Christ, the worst decisions you make in life are the ones that you have to live with, because it is better to be single than to wish you were.

The best decision comes from what God has provided through prayers, because no man can separate what God has joined together. Heavenly Father, we look at you to help us in making decisions in our life, and there are times the Holy Spirit will lead us to the right people that you have chosen to help us. Lord, we thank you for all that you have done.

You have given us direction and wisdom so that we can make the right decisions and bring glory to your name. It is not our decisions, but yours, that makes all the difference, because you will protect us even when you disappoint us.

All these we ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
