Lord, help us to identify deceivers working for the devil

Today's Devotion, Lord, help us to identify deceivers working for the devil. The higher your calling, the more intense your warfare. The closer you get to God, the more you'll be targeted by the devil.

The road to hell feels like heaven, and the road to heaven feels like hell. The pleasures of sin will never warn you about the consequences that comes from indulging in it. Enter through the narrow gate, because the gate that leads to destruction is wide, and many go through it.

But the gate that leads to life is narrow, and few find it. Serving God often encounters challenges which can be a time of spiritual growth and increasing your faith. In order for us to prepare for these challenges, we must learn to trust God's plan.

God wants us to love each other. He wants us not to be sinful, and He wants us to repent. He wants us to help our neighbors, and He wants us to walk with Him.

Let His Holy Spirit work in us and help us in our life. He also wants us to reach out to non-believers so that they can be saved. In reaching out to non-believers, it is a challenge by itself.

Some people will listen to you, and some will ridicule you. In doing God's work, we must be prepared to remove our pride and our ego. If God should tell you to wash the feet of your enemy, do it, because murmuring will never let you do it, but obedience will.

Communicating with God will often allow us to understand when He is speaking to us, and it is easy to identify the devil's voice when he is trying to deceive us. God encourages, the devil discourages. God is gentle, the devil is harsh.

God instills hope, the devil causes despair. God induces peace, the devil induces stress. Be careful of those who do sinful things and thank God when they receive it.

Spiritual darkness will never benefit from God's righteousness. It's not a blessing if you have to sin to get it. In 1 Peter 3 verse 10 it is written, For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer.

But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. And in Psalm 36 verse 3 it is written, The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful. They fail to act wisely and do good.

Heavenly Father, we call upon you to open the eyes of the spiritually blind and those who are naive because they can be easily influenced by deceivers. Lord, I pray for your immediate intervention to remove those who are trying to deceive your people the way that you see best. I pray for discernment and wisdom for those who are in need of your guidance so that they can recognize deception in all its forms.

Lord, I thank you for the Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts and actions, leading us away from falsehoods and towards the truth, protect us from manipulative influences, and grant us the strength to resist the devil's lies.

All these we ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
