Lord, Help Us to Accept the Truth

Today's devotion, Lord, help us to accept the truth. Not because God will use you, that doesn't mean that he approves of your lifestyle. Not because God will send someone to you who is your destiny helper, and the person may have a bad attitude, that doesn't mean that he made a bad choice.

It may be his way for you to learn how to deal with tolerance. God doesn't always give us what we want, he gives us what we need. Not because we are speakers of the truth, we must also be able to accept the truth when we are told about our faults and our bad habits.

For us to read the truth to others, we must be living by God's truth in our actions. We must not pick and choose the truth that suits us, we must live by all of them, not some of them. Jesus was crucified for the forgiveness of our sins, and also because of his consistence of speaking the truth.

The truth he spoke was unacceptable to many, and the consequence was crucifixion. My brothers and sisters in Christ, we must learn to accept people as they are, but place them where they belong. Never be influenced to give a job that requires the truth to a liar.

Your integrity will be questioned by man, but you will face consequences from God. In Psalm 86 verse 11 it is written, Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth. Unite my heart to fear your name.

And in Proverbs 12 verse 19 it is written, Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment. As believers, we must stand out by speaking the truth and not fit in around liars and deceitful people. In Jeremiah 10 verse 10 it is written, But the Lord is the true God.

He is the living God and the everlasting King. At his wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure his indignation. Heavenly Father, give us the courage to speak the truth because it is better to be hated by man than to experience your wrath.

Lord, help us to measure our truth against the truth of the Bible so that our actions and our words will remain on the same path. Lord, the truth can damage friendships, but lies can send us to hell. Help us not to sugarcoat the truth because there are going to be times when we will have to deliver it as it is.

Hell will always be hell no matter how decorated it may seem. Lord, help us to accept the truth because it is by living your truth that it will set us free.

All these we ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
